Hello! I submitted an application this morning and I JUST NOW noticed an error. And I'm freaking out about it because I REALLY want to transfer to CSULA! Is there any way I can fix it or am I done for until the next application period? Thanks so much for any help!

Hello!

Depending on the error, you may be able to correct it by submitting a Self-Reported Transfer Admissions Supplemental Form. The form can be found at http://web.calstatela.edu/univ/admiss/srGPA.pdf

Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

Received a D in an accounting class, it puts me exactly at the 60 units required to transfer, but it is not a required class for my major, will it affect my admissions for the Fall 2014

Hello!

It could potentially affect your admission if it lowers your GPA too much.

What if you got admitted to CSULA and you're not able to check your portal because they had your email wrong? Can you still be enrolled?

Hi!

If you are not receiving our e-mails and you believe that we may have the wrong e-mail address, please shoot us an e-mail with the correct address at CheckApp@calstatela.edu

To request a new PIN, please send an e-mail to Records@calstatela.edu and include your CIN, full name, and a valid e-mail address.

Hope that helps!

hi admissions office. my admissions status is currently the green circle (completed). my transcript has been received by admissions office but it is only partial or marginal as it says and that is because i am still taking summer classes. the deadline for transcripts is July 15. would this affect me? and would my admissions status change from a circle to a checkmark? thank you

Hello!

We do not accept prior-quarter coursework for admissions eligibility. However, if you are taking summer classes that will not directly affect your eligibility because you are already eligible (enough units, the Golden 4, etc.) then it’s fine. In the meantime, just send a marginal transcript that has your in-progress work.

Thanks!

I thought I would pass the WPE, but when I saw that I got "no credit" I got very devastated. /sighs/ So, I'll be taking it again next quarter. Anyways, what are the things that they look for and don't look for in the WPE?

Well first, do not feel defeated. There are many more opportunties to take it. Good you signed up for next quarter!

To best assist you, please contact the University Writing Center. They actually specialize in helping students successfully pass the WPE. They offer many helpful resources such as workshops, tutoring, and most of all support.

Hi, I wanted to ask about the classes that I should take as an incoming freshmen? I don't know what math I'm supposed to take, and I passed the AP literature exam, so what English am I supposed to take? Also, how many classes should an incoming freshmen take? Some people are telling me 3 and some are telling me 4.

Hello!

If you’re an incoming Freshman, then you must be attending Orientation! You will be able to ask all of those questions at your Freshman Orientation. After a fun, full day of activities, you will be given advisement time with an academic advisor *in your specific college.*

Hope that helps :) Ask lots of questions at Orientation!!
