Hi, I wanted to ask about the classes that I should take as an incoming freshmen? I don't know what math I'm supposed to take, and I passed the AP literature exam, so what English am I supposed to take? Also, how many classes should an incoming freshmen take? Some people are telling me 3 and some are telling me 4.

Hello!

If you’re an incoming Freshman, then you must be attending Orientation! You will be able to ask all of those questions at your Freshman Orientation. After a fun, full day of activities, you will be given advisement time with an academic advisor *in your specific college.*

Hope that helps :) Ask lots of questions at Orientation!!

So I want to retake the wpe in summer and I can't pay for it out of pocket I do receive financial aid and was wondering if I can get it covered by my aid ? Is this possible ?

Unfortunately, you will need to pay for it. the following is a series of steps that might help you:

How do I Register for the Cal State L.A. UNIV 400 (WPE/GWAR)?

  1. Look in the Schedule of Classes under the UNIV 400 WPE/GWAR listing and select a section.
  2. Note date, time, and exam location for the section you have selected
  3. Register through the GET System before the add deadline
  4. The $25 WPE is Non-refundable. Please make sure you are registered into a UNIV400(WPE) section before paying the $25 fee at the Cashier’s Windows.
  5. Students who no longer have current status may enroll in UNIV 400 through Extended Education. The fee is $125. Students need to contact the Division of Extended Education at (323) 343-4900 for further information.

Hello,
If you decide to come to your Orientation, then you can register then. If not, you must wait till it is indicated on your GET account for you to register.

Hi csula admissions, I have been granted provisional admission to csula and have already completed my golden 4 and GE courses. I am currently taking calculus 3 and physics 1 at a CC. my question is if I don't pass these classes or decide to withdraw, will i still be able to transfer to csula? Thanks

Hello,
As long as you still meet the transfer requirements stated below you will be eligible:

Minimum of a 2.00 transferable college GPA and be in good academic standing at the last college you have attended. Also, at least 60 transferable semester units (90 quarter units).

Please keep in mind that our campus is impacted, so the required GPA may be greater than 2.0 if you attend a school outside of our Local Area. For more information about how impaction affects transfer students, visit: http://web.calstatela.edu/univ/admiss/impaction/transfers/
